SHADOW BOXING

A GROUNDBREAKING HOLOGRAPHIC RETAIL INSTALLATION TO SHOWCASE RALPH LAUREN’S POLO SPORT LINE.

NEW YORK CITY, USA – 2015

Celebrating the release of their new Polo Sport line, Ralph Lauren commissioned Cinimod Holograms (Cinimod Studio's in-house specialist hologram creation team) for the launch of their first holographic and interactive window display.

Delivering a ground-breaking interactive shopfront at the Ralph Lauren flagship store on Fifth Avenue in New York City, the holographic display exhibited five different vignettes of athletes in action representing Polo Sport's core qualities of strength, speed, movement, and of course, style. Presented in a combination of differing visual effects, the athletes performed various workout routines; from jumping rope in the new PoloTech shirt, to the ‘bullet-time’ panorama of two boxers sparring.

Through meticulous planning and coordination, the holographic experience created the illusion of a massively increased depth to the otherwise narrow shopfront display. Combining a multitude of digital lighting points and LED video screens, the ‘reflected depth’ holograph effect appears luminous and convincingly realistic.
